Shaving – Dollar Shave Club – I tried this out as I was starting to not like my electric razor as much. There’s a $1, $6, and $9/month option. It comes with 4 cartridges and 1 stick (for first order). Subsequent orders get just the 4 cartridges. I opted for $6 razor and the Shave Butter ($8) and am pretty happy with it. You can cancel it at any time. They recommend using 4 razors in a month, but it usually lasts me at least 2 months.
Net Worth Tracker – Personal Capital – A FREE tool that helps you manage and track your net worth. You can connect all types of accounts to it. It updates automatically and shows you your money in cool graphics, charts, and tables.
Online Checking/Savings Account – Capital One 360 – For my joint account with my wife, I use Capital One 360. I like how easy it is to set up new savings accounts for different categories and how you can automatically siphon money to different accounts. Also, it was easy to link our personal accounts (Bank of America and PNC Bank) so we could transfer money between these accounts and Capital One 360. The interest rates offered on the savings accounts are pretty competitive. They have other cool features like depositing checks using your smartphone camera, setting up savings goals, and mailing checks for free.
Web Hosting – Bluehost – When I moved my blog over from my old wordpress.com site (livefrugalee.wordpress.com) to a self-hosted site (now just livefrugalee.com), I did a lot of research and ended up choosing Bluehost for web hosting. For those using the WordPress platform, Bluehost is highly recommended and optimized for WordPress, which is the main reason why I chose Bluehost. They have great 24/7 support, and it’s been serving me very well so far. I wrote a tutorial on how to start a blog to help you get started.

Photo Editing – PicMonkey – I use PicMonkey to edit my photos on the blog. I have very little skill in this arena, but PicMonkey is relatively easy to use. I’m still trying to learn more and more of the features, but the basics are easy to grasp, even for someone like me.
GETTING RID OF STUFF / DECLUTTERING
Where I sell books – Half.com – For me, this is the easiest way to sell books. Once you have an account, all you have to do is enter the ISBN of the book and some other info, and your book enters a marketplace visible to millions of people. If you have a bunch of books that you’ve read or aren’t reading, I would encourage you to give it a try.
Where to sell CDs/DVDs/Games/Blu-Rays (free app) – Decluttr.com – I’ve only used this once because I don’t really buy many DVDs or Blu-Rays. However, I know some people have hundreds or even thousands of these. If you don’t need them anymore, they have a great app that uses your camera to scan the barcode on the back of the item, and they tell you exactly how much they’ll give you for it. It probably won’t be much, but if you want to get rid of a lot (they require at least 10), it’s a great way to get a little bit of money for it.
Where I sell almost anything else – craigslist.org – Most people that know me know I sell a ton of stuff on craigslist. People will buy anything (almost)! I’ve sold some pretty random things because they have a category for everything. It’s also a great place to buy things at a discount if you don’t need the item to be new.
Another place to sell – Amazon – Ok, I know almost everyone buys stuff on Amazon. But did you know you can sell stuff there too? It’s even easier if the product is already on Amazon. Just look up the item and click “Sell on Amazon” and follow the instructions. They do take a commission, but it gives you access to a huge marketplace.
